"Team Anthem for Mumbai Indians by lyricist Javed Akhtar, scored by Anu Malik"

Mumbai, April 19, 2008: Famous lyricist Javed Akhtar has penned the Team Anthem of Mumbai Indians. Akhtar’s inspiring words express the spirit of team Mumbai Indians and their motivation to ‘Rock the World’. The anthem’s tunes were composed by celebrated music director Anu Malik of the ‘Indian Idol’ fame.

The melodious and catchy anthem released today at a glittering function is in the form of a music video depicting the team’s spirit to fight it out in the DLF Indian Premier League T20 matches.

The release of this anthem is close on the heels of the roll out of the advertising campaign featuring Bollywood Superhero Hrithik Roshan. The lyrics were written by Piyush Pandey and music composed by Tapas Relia.
